Prosys Forge in Practice
Ā
"The session starts with a brief introduction to Prosys OPC and the Prosys Forge application, followed by a hands-on demonstration of Forge's core capabilities.
During the hands-on portion, a containerized environment will be used, with all required images prepared in advance. Participants who wish to access the environment ahead of the session are encouraged to contact us beforehand. The demonstration highlights how a modern, intuitive user experience helps teams quickly understand and build integrations between IT and OT systems.
Using a practical, real-world use case, attendees will see how OPC UA core features are applied at the heart of Forge, enabling the use of information models such as CESMII Smart Manufacturing Profiles to harmonize data across systems and applications. This approach supports consistent, reusable data models and multiple use cases without requiring deep prior knowledge of OPC UA.
The workshop concludes with an overview of a comprehensive Forge setup that brings multiple use cases together into a single solution. By relying on vendor-independent information models, the architecture avoids vendor lock-in and remains independent of any specific cloud provider or automation platform.
After the session, participants will have a clear understanding of Prosys Forge's capabilities and the value of a flexible architecture—one that supports diverse user roles and system requirements through realistic, vendor-independent interfaces rather than a one-size-fits-all approach."
